“I was suppose to go meet Kobe and it was like my dream is about to come true – I’m about to meet my idol, I’m about to talk to my idol,” Chisholm Jr. candidly spoke. Unfortunately, Bryant did not return, and only the news of the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of nine including that of the former basketball player and his daughter Gianna Bryant broke down.

In the same podcast, Chisholm Jr. said, “I called Derek Jeter and I’m like ‘Bro I was just supposed to meet Kobe and he just died. That was my idol, now you have to step up.'” He emphasized that those were the exact words that he said to Jeter on the call. Furthermore, the MLB player candidly spoke about how ever since he told Jeter to be his idol after Bryant died, he has literally treated him like his son.
