Michael Jordan has stayed relevant in the NBA world despite retiring many years ago. It would be safe to say that it isn’t surprising, especially because of the titles he won, the way he transformed the game, and the impact he left on basketball as a whole. Jordan is arguably the GOAT, and even his best haters would admit that.
Fans would love to see His Airness back in action, although he might not have the same speed and agility as he did back in the day. Recently, a Facebook post went viral after a fan claimed that Jordan was returning to the NBA to play for the Charlotte Hornets.
This rumor spread across the internet in no time as the NBA community was eager to find out if Jordan would come out of retirement once again.
Michael Jordan is not coming out of retirement to return to the NBA
Unfortunately for fans, MJ will not be returning to the NBA court. It looks like the post was made with the intention of gaining some attention on social media. This has been the case on multiple occasions in recent times, especially with LeBron James.
Jordan has retired three times in his career. The first time was in 1993 when he proceeded to play baseball for the Chicago White Sox. After a fairly brief and underwhelming baseball career, considering the standards he set, Jordan stunningly returned to the NBA. He managed to win another three-peat with the Chicago Bulls, a feat that no other player has come close to.
OTD (99) Michael Jordan retired for a second time and said he was 99.9 percent sure he would not return.
The announcement was 7 months after winning his last championship & days after the NBA agreed to end the lockout.

Jordan retired for the second time in 1999 and claimed that there was no chance that he would return. He went back on his words after coming out of retirement in 2001. He signed a contract with the Washington Wizards that year.
The 6x NBA champion could not lead the Wizards to the playoffs in both of the years that he spent in DC. It would be safe to claim that his time with the franchise would be something he would like to forget.
Jordan called it a day for the final time in 2003 and bid goodbye to the NBA. He has stayed retired since then, and will surely remain on the sidelines in the future as well.
