SUMMARY
- Antonio Brown called Caitlin Clark a Mel Gibson lookalike on social media.
- His comments also sparked a major debate on Clark's gender.
There has been a lot of drama surrounding the NCAA’s Caitlin Clark. While she is not directly responsible for any of it, issues have conspired based on what other people have been about her saying on social media. The first issue that swarmed the internet was when WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes disregarded everything the 22-year-old achieved over the years. This caused a major ruckus on social media. Fans began trolling Swoopes for her distasteful comments as well.
However, the dust settled once the 4x WNBA Champion did some research on Clark’s tenure in college. Swoopes also apologized for questioning the legitimacy of Clark’s all-time scoring record. Caitlin has certainly been making waves in the basketball community recently. And it seems like she has a bright future ahead of her college days, which will soon be coming to an end. However, an ex-NFL made an extremely vile comment that turned several heads.
Antonio Brown gets thrashed for trolling Caitlin Clark
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player, Antonio Brown was popularly known for being an absolutely talented wide receiver. But over the years, Brown has been dealing with a couple of issues away from the field. Brown reposted an edited picture of Caitlin Clark that was uploaded by FOX College Hoops on X. Brown said, “B*tch look like Mel Gibson.” This obviously did not sit well with fans around the world. But it also erupted a massive debate on Clark’s gender.
As you can see, multiple fans have started to question whether the Iowa Hawkeyes star is transgender. But it is safe to confirm that Clark is definitely a female. She has never given any hints of possibly being transgender either. Multiple other fans defended Clark against Brown’s comments as well. His remarks were completely tasteless.
Did Antonio Brown steal the Mel Gibson comment from a fan?
Antonio Brown’s presence on social media has been nothing but controversial. He has drifted away from being known as an NFL icon into a personality that trolls everybody on social media. It is quite unfortunate that someone as big as him has entered a massive downfall. However, one fan claims that Brown may have stolen his remarks on Caitlin Clark.

An X user named Big Stretch (@stretchreturned) replied to Brown on the same post claiming that his comment was stolen. The user said, “Bro u coulda stole anybody tweet, why mine.” Some things may never be answered and nobody will truly know why Brown chose to insult Clark rather than congratulate her.
