During a recent episode of their podcast, ‘Separation Anxiety,’ Marcus Jordan discussed the cost of his dream wedding. He emphasized his commitment to a single extravagant wedding, stating, “I’m not doing this like multiple, five six, seven weddings. So, when the day comes, it’s going to be an extravagant day”. It’s clear that Marcus is taking a different approach to marriage than his famous father, Michael.
Michael, a basketball legend known for his decades-long career, has been married twice. He was married to Juanita Vanoy and is currently married to Yvette Prieto for over a decade now. Interestingly, Michael is 16 years older than Yvette, whereas, Marcus is 16 years younger than his soon-to-be-wife Larsa. The son-father duo doesn’t seem to be worried about the age difference.
As per Marcus’s statements, he is planning to get married once, unlike his father. Even though Michael disapproves of the relationship between Marcus and Larsa, the two don’t seem to worry about it. Their wedding plans are full-fledged, and fans are excited to witness another Jordan getting married in a grand way.
Michael Jordan was married to Juanita Vanoy for 17 years
Michael’s first marriage to Juanita Vanoy lasted for 17 years before they decided to part ways. The reasons behind their divorce remain shrouded in mystery, with only mentions of “irreconcilable differences” in the official statement.
Juanita, a loan officer, met Michael Jordan after a Bulls game in 1985. Their relationship blossomed, and they eventually married in 1989 in Las Vegas. Over the years, they welcomed three children: Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine.

Despite the success on the basketball court, their marriage faced challenges that ultimately led to their separation in 2006. Juanita received a remarkable $168 million in the divorce settlement, making it one of the most expensive divorce settlements in sports history.
After his divorce from Juanita, he met Yvette Prieto, a Cuban-American model. Their relationship quickly progressed, and they got engaged in 2011. In April 2013, the couple tied the knot in a grand ceremony rumored to cost over $10 million. Michael and Yvette welcomed twin daughters, Ysabel and Victoria, in February 2014.
Just like Michael and Yvette, Marcus and Larsa seem to head the same way, and their wedding is likely to be the talk of the town. The Real Housewives of Miami star and owner of Trophy Room met for the first time back in 2019, and the rumors started in 2022. At the start of this year, the two made their relationship Instagram official. Interestingly, even before the year ends, we are hearing wedding bells.
