SUMMARY
- The Warriors secured an impressive 134-120 win against the Lakers.
- Steve Kerr claimed that they had several mishaps including ball movement errors that could've been fatal.
Steve Kerr managed to coach the Golden State Warriors into a win against one of their biggest rivals this season, the Los Angeles Lakers. Both teams have been crushing it lately but are still fighting to get their way out of the Play-In Tournament. But it was an incredible display of perimeter shooting conducted by the Warriors as they copped the 134-120 win against LA.
Considering how things have been going for both teams, the Warriors could overthrow the Lakers for the ninth seed in the Western Conference. The Bay Area have to win their next three games to surpass the Lakers. The Warriors have shown a lot of promise moving ahead into the season winning eight of their last ten games.
Steve Kerr praises Draymond Green and the Warriors’ shooting efforts
The entire Warriors starting lineup had a lot of contributions made in terms of scoring. They also recorded a historic 26-41 from deep while shooting 58.8% from the field goal. Steve Kerr wasn’t necessarily happy about the way things were going in general. During the post-game press conference, he said, “I don’t feel like we played that well. But we made a million threes, so the ball was going in.”

He added, “I didn’t think we were sharp. There were a lot of possessions where we weren’t quite locked in or our passing was off-target or disjointed. But the ball kept going in. I mean, Draymond went 5 for 5 in a half. That, you don’t see that often. But you know, everybody got going.” The Warriors recorded 15 turnovers during the game but made it up by draining three-pointers. Besides Draymond Green, Steph Curry shot 6-6 from deep.
The Warriors’ performance against the Lakers is playoff worthy
One of the Warriors’ biggest strengths has been their offense. Their performance against the Lakers, who are one of the stronger defensive teams around, is what needs to happen more often. Green has been quite active in terms of scoring. He has had eight games scoring in double-digits since March which is almost as much as he has had the entire season before.

Additionally, Klay Thompson had also stepped up for the Warriors to give Curry some backup. He has averaged 20.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in his last ten appearances. Defensively, Trayce Jackson-Davis might be their biggest asset as he recorded three blocks against LA. Andrew Wiggins also had a great night scoring 17 points and 3 blocks. This is exactly the type of momentum they have to have to get through the Play-In Tournament and into the playoffs.
