“I cried when I told him I was done. Mostly because I felt like I wasn’t going to get to see him every day,” Myers stated. Further, he clarified that this wasn’t because he was giving up chances to win another Championship but it was more about, “This person’s not going to be in my life as much as they used to be.” The former Warriors’ GM applauded Steph by talking about how he is a good person, a good light, etc.

He took to his Instagram stories to say, “Before the trophies and the memories over this run, I remember I told you ‘you better get it right!’ And you did,” highlighting the warning he gave him before he joined the team. In addition to this, Curry stated that the GM role was great and Myers fulfilled his responsibilities. “But forever grateful for you as a friend forever. Changed each other’s lives!” he added before thanking him.

He stated, “Magic Johnson and Stephen Curry, the reason they’re so revered and applauded and beloved, is because they had fun doing it.” Myers clarified that he couldn’t say he laughs a lot when he plays basketball, however, he certainly wishes he could.
