NBA fans will be relieved to hear that Bronny James appears to be on the verge of making a comeback to USC. As many of us should be aware, Bronny is the eldest son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. Bronny sent the basketball community into a state of shock a few months ago when it was announced that he suffered a cardiac arrest during basketball practice and was hospitalized.
Since the James family requested the media to respect their family’s privacy at the time, it was quite difficult for fans to understand Bronny’s rehabilitation and recovery process. Not knowing his condition made it nearly impossible for the NBA media to predict his return to basketball. Now that Bronny appears to have made his return to USC, let us take a closer look at the situation and find out more.
Bronny James is set to return to basketball
Before suffering a cardiac arrest, Bronny James was receiving an incredible amount of hype from the media. After all, being the son of LeBron James and shouldering the responsibility of playing with his father in the NBA undoubtedly garnered a lot of attention. Moreover, Bronny already proved himself to be quite a good player during his time in high school.
This unexpected cardiac arrest appeared to have thrown his basketball plans out the window, at least temporarily. To those who do not know, Bronny suffered a heart attack during college practice all the way back on July 24, 2023. Although he was only hospitalized for a few days and soon allowed to go home, Bronny has not been seen playing basketball for over two months.
That led to fans wondering if his basketball career was heading to an end even before it began. Most recently, pictures of Bronny wearing the USC jersey soon went viral and sent a message to the basketball community that he is on the verge of making a comeback.

Despite the fact that he reportedly went through heart surgery, Bronny is expected to make his return to the court within the upcoming weeks or rejoin his teammates for practice at the very least. While it is still unclear if he has been cleared to play in official games, the pictures seem to indicate that he is going to return soon. We look forward to seeing what he is capable of accomplishing and hope that his past medical complications do not deter his play and impact on the court.
