NBA fans across the world were very impressed to see Stephen Curry pull off an incredible feat in the gym. As almost all of us should know, Steph is the star point guard for the Golden State Warriors and has been the pillar of the franchise over the last decade.
Although he is best known for his incredible three-point shooting ability, fans shouldn’t forget that Steph is also an incredible athlete in terms of fundamentals. After all, he has undoubtedly pushed his body to the limit to continue to play at a high level throughout his career.
Since this is the middle of the NBA offseason, fans have been unable to watch their favorite stars in action. Although Curry didn’t display his basketball skills this time, his accomplishment was still very impressive. With that being said, let us take a closer look and find out more.
How much can Stephen Curry deadlift?
One of the most essential abilities in the world of sports or fitness is deadlifting. To those who might not know, deadlifting involves picking up a weighted barbell from the ground using one’s legs and lower back. It is considered a staple compound exercise and integral in improving and developing lower body strength.
It is no real surprise that Steph is quite proficient in deadlifting. Although he doesn’t really fit the definition of an explosive athlete, there is no denying that the GSW star has a very strong lower body and core. The amount of time he spends on his feet, even without a ball, is a testament to what Steph is made of.

Coming back to the point at hand, a video of Steph repping out some heavy-looking weights soon went viral. From what we can tell, the weight appears to be around 225 lbs (102kg) or even more. Curry grabbed the loaded barbell confidently before executing perfect form deadlifts. He was also quite explosive on every rep.
Watching Steph showcase his impressive strength had fans impressed, “His core strength is unreal.” Others also took the opportunity to compliment Curry on his physique.
