Fans have already decided that James Harden has ruined the Clippers’ chances of winning an NBA title. As many members of the basketball community should be aware, the Beard’s trade to the Los Angeles Clippers has been one of the biggest talking points throughout the latter end of the NBA offseason.
Although many NBA experts felt that the Clippers should stick to the roster they have, the team ended up making a trade for James Harden. While having 4 certified stars on the court should certainly be a recipe for success, the Clippers got off to an unexpectedly low start after acquiring the former 76ers star.
The team went on a 6 game-losing streak before finally managing to enter the win column. More recently, reports have emerged that have fans convinced that James Harden is bad news for the Clippers. Let us take a closer look and find out more.
Fans blame James Harden for Bones Hyland entering the trade market
There is no denying that Harden is a one-of-a-kind player and talent. However, the Clippers going on a 6 game-losing streak ever since he joined them is certainly an issue that fans should not take too lightly. More importantly, the Beard is a ball-dominant player that requires a lot of playing minutes and usage in order to be effective on the court. Especially at this juncture in his career.
As a result, several other young guards on the Los Angeles Clipper have now been reduced to bench players. Bones Hyland is one such player that fans will remember had quite a few good moments with the Clippers last season.
Recent reports reveal that he has now emerged as a trade candidate and could potentially be acquired by any other team. Upon hearing this, Clippers fans instantly blamed Harden for inadvertently causing this situation, “Harden ruined the Clippers.’

Although we can understand why fans feel this way, one could argue that the Clippers deserve more time on the court together before a solid conclusion about them can be formed. After all, the team has won 4 out of the last 5 games following the 6 game losing streak.
At the end of the day, everyone on the Clippers will have to sacrifice if they wish to legitimately contend for an NBA title this season. Since the roster is filled with veteran stars, we can understand why the younger player such as Hyland could feel a possible sense of frustration.
