What caused Gianna Bryant’s death?
The helicopter crash claimed the lives of Kobe and Gianna Bryant along with seven other individuals including her teammates and their parents as well as pilot Ara Zobayan. It is believed that pilot negligence was what led to the crash. Rather than taking his usual route to Thousand Oaks, Zobayan rerouted and flew over Calabasas.
Visibility over the area was strikingly low and according to sources, Zobayan was advised to redirect the flight path. But a disoriented Zobayan decided to go his way. The helicopter reached lower altitudes which ultimately resulted in the crash.
The force of the impact likely was what led to the brutal injuries. Based on what is mentioned in the autopsy reports, Gianna Bryant’s head was probably fully exposed to impact. The force of the crash was so intense that parts of the aircraft were scattered all over the hills. The injured parts of Gianna’s body were possibly directly exposed to the internal walls of the plane.
