Former NBA star Joe Smith has found his way back to the headlines after playing his last game more than a decade ago. This time, it wasn’t because of his remarkable basketball skills, but after his wife Kisha Chavis recorded his reaction to finding out about her OnlyFans account. Smith was visibly upset over the discovery, and yet Chavis did not even regret uploading his video.
Ever since that viral video went live, fans and media alike have been talking about the former basketball star and his journey. Smith went from earning $61 million in his career to having merely $3000 in his bank account. This was back in 2018 when he also made an appearance on Back in the Game. In a recent interview, Smith also revealed how he was left hung out to dry after the show aired.

Furthermore, Smith brought everyone’s attention to how things don’t work out easily just because he signed a contract, it doesn’t make him a millionaire. There is a lot that goes in and he barely got half of the money that he earned from the contracts. To make things worse, he was often traded in his 16-year-long career which led him to buy homes at different places.
Joe Smith fell into depression after his retirement from the NBA
In an interview with VladTV, Joe Smith candidly spoke about his life after retiring from the league. While noting that he had only $3000 in his account, Smith said, “It was a very low point”. Additionally, just after the divorce, he dated another girl named Moniece Slaughter who forged checks worth $109K. Smith’s obsession with having an exclusive car collection further pushed him into more debt.

Additionally, in one of her interviews, Chavis claimed that Smith wasn’t taking the lead, and so she had to.
