Stephen Curry has certainly been dealing with major issues revolving around the Golden State Warriors roster. For starters, Dub Nation seems to have reached a downfall as they’ve experienced tragic losses within 24 games of their season. They are currently ranked 11th in the Western Conference with a record of 10 wins and 14 losses. The odds of them reaching the playoffs are very slim or almost non-existent at this point.
Secondly, he is the only player on the roster who is currently in form. Klay Thompson hasn’t been playing well as of late, averaging 16 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game on 40.7% shooting. Thompson has been shooting his worst from beyond the three-point arc as well. Additionally, Andrew Wiggins joined Thompson by being the next flaw in the system. Wiggins dropped from averaging 17.1 points last season to a tragic 12 points per game last year.
Recently, NBA legend Kendrick Perkins shared his concerns regarding Stephen Curry with ESPN’s Malika Andrews. He said, “Free him from all the BS that surround him. You think about the situation with Klay Thompson and the front office and their contract tension…You look at Andrew Wiggins who’s playing this year like he don’t give a damn… You’re watching a guy in Draymond Green that is not reliable, that is acting out of character.”
“Free him from all the BS that’s around him. We cannot waste Steph Curry’s valuable time while he’s still here.”

Perk added, “Steph don’t deserve this. Steph is giving us great basketball. Steph has more basketball, great basketball to give us. We cannot waste Steph Curry valuable time while he’s still here.” In addition to the Warriors’ struggles, Draymond Green has already been suspended twice for manhandling other athletes.
Steve Kerr backs Stephen Curry while experts critique his leadership
Amidst all the chaos, Stephen Curry has been extremely frustrated. A clip from his recent game shows how agitated he was while dealing with his teammates. And to add injury to insult, Stephen A. Smith criticized Curry for apparently showing zero leadership.
Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr responded to Smith’s comments saying, “For anybody to question Steph Curry’s leadership, it’s actually kind of sickening. And I saw some of that and it was disgusting. [Curry is] one of the finest human beings I have ever been around.”

Stephen Curry has been averaging lights-out numbers this season. He is currently putting up 28.6 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game on 46% shooting. He also leads the league for most three-pointers made this season. Curry is already 35 years of age, which makes these next couple of years extremely crucial for the Warriors.
