The Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA dedicated special bobblehead figurines to Jason and Travis Kelce during their recent matchup against the Boston Celtics. The game took place shortly after the former NFL star announced his departure from professional sports. The Cavaliers collaborated with the Kelce brothers and gave away bobbleheads to fans who attended the game.
Travis and Jason Kelce were born in Cleveland
Travis and Jason Kelce came from humble beginnings. They were born and raised in Cleveland, so the Cavaliers made tribute bobbleheads in their honor. They both attended Cleveland Heights High School before going pro. Jason fondly recalled growing up with Travis. He said, “We have a small family. No cousins, one aunt, one uncle. It was really my brother and I our whole lives. We did almost everything together, competed, fought, laughed, cried, and learned from each other.”
He claimed that they would always dream big and think about winning multiple Super Bowls together. However, Travis was one of his biggest support systems growing up. He stated, “It made me stronger, tougher, smarter, and taught me the values of cooperation, loyalty, patience, and understanding.” Travis is younger than Jason. The latter has won a Super Bowl title while making the Pro Bowl seven times in 13 seasons.
Jason Kelce claimed his Cavaliers bobblehead tribute looked better than expected
Jason Kelce was presented with the bobbleheads before the game and he was quite surprised with the way they turned out. He jokingly said, “I look way better than I was expecting.” Jason and Travis donned Cavaliers jerseys with their respective numbers on them. The Cavaliers also honored the NFL superstar with a framed jersey.
