It has been a wild journey for Damian Lillard over the last two months. Things were very chaotic between the Portland Trail Blazers and himself. After 11 years with the franchise and no progress, his request to be traded was inevitable. And as most people would say, Lillard is one of the most loyal athletes around. He dedicates himself entirely to his craft or any challenge that he faces.
At one point, it seemed as if the Blazers had reached a dead-end with the trade scenario. They had rejected all offers from the Miami Heat, leaving them with absolutely nothing to give. And quite frankly, nobody expected to see Lillard’s name linked to the Milwaukee Bucks. Toward the end, the Blazers had blatantly ignored advances made by the Heat. Now, it makes complete sense.
Damian Lillard will be teaming up with Giannis Antetokounmpo next season. Hours, after he was officially traded from Portland, the 7x All-Star released a new track called Farewell. It contained heavy lyrics that were subtle jabs at the Blazers. The lyrics read, “I continue leaving Trails but won’t be for the Blazers… I could never be replaced they’ll know sooner than later… Just know that what I left is better than what I inherited.”

Several weeks ago, Dame sent out a couple of cryptic messages on X calling out the Blazers for failing to recognize his efforts. This track was more or less a final goodbye to his former franchise where he developed his game and earned his ranking among the greatest NBA players of all time.
Fans react to Damian Lillard’s newest track following trade to the Bucks
Damian Lillard released his fourth studio album called “Don D.O.L.L.A.” in August. The fifteen-track album does not feature Farewell, making it a standout release. Lillard has been pursuing a career in rap music for a while now. He’s experienced great levels of success and is gaining more attention for his rap skills every day.
Fans were fairly stoked to hear more music from Damian Lillard. However, some fans trolled him for attacking the Blazers as the Bucks were first-round exits last season. One fan said, “All these bars for a 1st round exit!” Another fan added, “I this. I that. Dude never talked we and team. Coulda been great, but settled for good.”

As much as fans criticize his work, it is undeniable that the Bucks have a serious shot at the title next season. Giannis and Damian are both 30 points per game scorers, making the Bucks a lethal offensive team.
