Tyler Herro appears to have something to prove this upcoming season. As many NBA fans should certainly be aware, the Miami Heat star was the center of trade discussions that his team reportedly engaged in throughout this NBA offseason. Since the Heat was the destination that Damian Lillard had initially asked the Portland Blazers to join, many fans assumed this was a done deal.
However, things didn’t go as Heat fans would hope. The Blazers ended up trading Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks in return for Jrue Holiday and other assets. This led Heat fans to believe that they would be able to acquire Jrue since the Blazers were planning to move him.
None of those trade rumors materialized. Pat Riley and the Miami Heat are now left with Tyler Herro. Being involved in trade discussions has likely not been taken well by him. With that being said, let us take a closer look at the situation and find out more.
Tyler Herro has been constantly working out
Fans who use social media and follow Herro on mediums such as Instagram or X will know that he has been posting several videos of himself putting in the work in order to get better. His results have already appeared to pay off in what little we saw of him this NBA offseason.

There is no denying that Herro is a star with the talent and ability to establish himself in the league. The most recent video involved him knocking down multiple three-pointers consecutively. One could say that he is trying to prove to the Heat that he can do what Lillard is known for just as well.

Unfortunately for Herro, the standard that his team established last season in his absence is quite high. Therefore, he will have to help them make the NBA Finals in order to prove the Miami Heat management completely wrong. Or at the very least, helping his team get further than the Milwaukee Bucks will also prove his unquestionable value to the team.
We are still quite a long way from the NBA playoffs. Hopefully, Tyler stays in top shape for his team this season in order to help them win a title.
