Ja Morant is one of the best players in the league and a key member of the Memphis Grizzlies. Morant is taking time off from the Grizzlies, who is a crucial member for mounting a title challenge. This unfortunate absence is all due to the questionable decisions the 23-year-old point guard made in a nightclub. However, NBA fans are aware that Ja has a 3-year-old daughter. Many fans are curious to know who will be looking after her.
It is a fairly simple assumption, is that it will be Ja’s wife who will be looking after their daughter, Kaari Jaidyn Morant. However, Morant does have a child with KK Dixon, who is his ex-girlfriend, but the two are not married. The two started dating around 2018, when Morant played for Murray State College, and was considered the hottest prospect. The two had a daughter together in 2019, in a somewhat bitter-sweet event.
According to reports, Dixon had a near-death experience during her pregnancy. She was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, in her 31st week of pregnancy. Fortunately, she is alive and well, and thriving in her business. Dixon founded Dixon Brands and LLC and is also its CEO, she is also the author of the children’s book Kaari & Kree’s Ultimate Coloring & Activity Book. The two were once inseparable when they were together.

Despite having a child together, the two didn’t tie the knot and are not currently dating each other in 2023. When the couple was in a relationship they often posted photos of each other, however, it wasn’t meant to be. The couple broke things shortly after they were blessed with a baby daughter in 2019. Despite not being together, they are actively co-parenting their daughter. It looks as though, Dixon will be looking after Kaari as Morant enters a counseling program in Florida.
The two never announced their breakup to the media and decided to end things quietly. In fact, Morant and Dixon no longer follow each other on Instagram or any other social media platform. They removed all the photos they posted of each other and decided to go their separate ways. It is still unclear why they parted ways with each other. However, some theorize, that Morant’s professional career put a strain on their relationship.
