On one hand, where we have talked so much about the NBA, there is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The organization administers students interested in athletics. Among those students standing six foot six is a basketball player Andrew Tate. Born on 25 November 1998, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he is the son of Andre and Jamile Tate.
Andrew is a small forward who played in his freshman for the University of South Carolina Upstate in the NCAA under the coaching of Dave Dickerson.

Andrew came to USC Upstate with 60 hours of college credit and as an enrolment student. Following this, he did his diploma and an associate’s degree from Spartanburg Community College. However, he graduated from Spartanburg High School completing years in both basketball and football. Apart from this, as a senior, he competed in the FCA All-Star Basketball Challenge playing for Spartanburg against Greenville. In the game, he averaged 7.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.
However, talking about Andrew’s past, let’s take a look into the 25-year-old NCAA career with the Upstate Spartans team from the year 2018-2020.
USC Upstate player Andrew Tate’s playing career
Tate after passing his Division II scholarship offer came to the USC Upstate. While playing for only 2 seasons with the USC Upstate from 2018-2020, Andrew Tate played a total of 17 games in his NCAA career. There he averaged in 3.4 minutes with 0.5 points, 0.8 rebounds, 0.2 assists, and 40 FG%. Following this, for the 2019-20 season, his totals were 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.
In his fifth game of the 2020 season, Andrew played in the opening three minutes but lost 82-90 to Winthrop. Following this in the same year Tate alongside teammate Thomas Booker from Nashville, Tennessee graduated with one year of eligibility remaining. Following this, they got honored at the G.B. Hodge Center by the Spartanburg High School for a senior night. USC Upstate head coach Dave Dickerson referred to the two appraising them. “Great, great people. They are model student-athletes. They are guys that we will be friends with for the rest of our lives. We’re excited about their futures.” – he said.
Thus, after completing his graduation he further planned to enter law school. However, his basketball career in NCAA has been of quite a short duration.
