Jordan stood tall and attempted his best to give the kind of performance that he was known for. Despite not being able to sit during time-outs, the Bulls star played for 40 minutes in the game. Unsurprisingly, his health took a toll and he found himself being carried by his friend-now-turned-enemy Pippen.
In ESPN ‘The Jump,’ Pippen narrated the whole story of what happened on that day and gave the behind-the-scenes of the most iconic picture of the two together. While also looking back at their journey together, Pippen stated, “It was easy, he carried me for like 11 seasons.”
He continued, “It was great. You know me and Michael we have a special bond. We’ve been together for so long It was just one of those games where it’s one of the most important games of our careers”. Their special bond has now turned into a well-known feud that started due to the documentary ‘The Last Dance.’
Scottie Pippen called Michael Jordan a horrible player
The friendship of Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan on and off the court took an ugly turn in recent years. The two who won six championships together for the Chicago Bulls, don’t even speak to each other anymore. This started when Pippen openly expressed his disappointment at the documentary that represented just Jordan and gave no credit to other players.
However, things didn’t stop there, Pippen also publicly humiliated Jordan by calling him a horrible player. In his own words, “I’ve seen Michael Jordan play before I came to play with the Bulls. He was a horrible player.” Scottie continued, “He was horrible to play with. He was all 1-on-1”. Jordan who is widely known as the greatest player of all time was called a horrible player to play with.
This further got complicated when Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa Pippen and Michael Jordan’s son Marcus Jordan started dating each other. Michael candidly expressed his disapproval of their relationship while Scottie has remained silent. Their brewing romance is now heading towards a wedding ‘In The Works’ and the two have been opening in talking about their wedding plans.
Larsa and Marcus in their podcast talked about how Michael won’t be attending their wedding. As Jordan’s nightmare is coming true, Scottie gets back at him and has the last laugh. Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan remain in the headings even years after their playing career got over, and fans seem to be enjoying it.
