It is unclear when Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery began dating. However, Connor enrolled at Iowa in 2017, three years before Clark joined and began competing. Their spark probably ignited while they spent time together in college. However, it wasn’t until April 2023 that they made their first public appearance together at a Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets game. McCaffery was spotted sitting right next to the Hawkeyes star, who was fresh off a championship run in the NCAA Tournament.

August 2023 was when Clark uploaded pictures of them on a boat via Instagram. She also captioned the post saying, “Best end to summer.” Ever since McCaffery has also been showering her with endless support. Connor McCaffery has a deep connection with the Hawkeyes
The McCaffery surname may ring a bell for college basketball fans. Connor’s father, Fran McCaffery actively coaches the Iowa Hawkeyes Men’s Basketball team. Connor spent six seasons playing under the guidance of his father before hanging it up in 2023. His first season (2017-18) was hurdled by injuries. But he managed to appear for 34 games averaging 4.4 points and 3 assists.
During the 2019-20 campaign, the Hawkeyes started Connor for 31 games as he averaged 6.1 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds. Unfortunately, the tournament was canceled following the COVID-19 outbreak. In the following season, he returned to compete for the Hawkeyes as a starter. The 2022-23 season was when McCaffery appeared for an additional season, as players from the COVID-19 batch were allowed to.
