In almost 30 years of its existence, WWE has taken the help of over 12 themes to pump up the crowd for the red brand of the promotion. With this being said, let us have a look at the themes that WWE has used in these years, contributing to its massive success.
Monday Night RAW themes
Looking at the current trends, SmackDown has outshined RAW in all aspects. Despite being only two hours long, SmackDown has the title shots as well as the storylines to keep the audience glued to the screens. On the other hand, with a not-so-popular cast on the red brand, RAW lacks in captivating the audience.
In order to compensate for the same, it is evident that the company is very thoughtful about its theme. Since 1993, RAW has seen numerous stars hype up the crowd with their entrance music. Here are the all-time themes for Monday Night RAW ever since its formation:
Monday Night Raw by Jim Johnston
The song was iconic for its symbolism for the professional wrestling industry. Marking the beginning of WWE Monday Night RAW, it goes down in history as one of the most iconic themes ever.
Blending in the sounds of guitars and drums simultaneously, Jim Johnston worked wonders in planning the song. The theme was adopted for almost four years by the WWE before finally shifting towards another.

Raw by Jim Johnston
In the 1990s, Jim Johnston was the man to take the WWE Universe to the edge of its seat. His creation, ‘Raw,’ worked magic for the fans and the beat-filled music was enough to hype up the fans. In addition to this, the iconic police sirens served as the cherry on top, making it one of the best RAW themes of all time.
Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson
A chaotic music in its perfect sense, Marilyn Manson blended the emotions of the audience perfectly well. Noisy for many, the theme was beautifully set to portray the excitement that the fans would feel with every beat. Despite being used for hardly a year, the music remained stuck in the minds of many in the industry.

Thorn In Your Eye by Slam Jam
This particular music remains a special one for every WWE fan. While the beats and music were not very extraordinary, the video left a significant impression in the hearts of the audience. With multiple stars marking his presence in the clip, it certainly prepared the crowd for what was to follow next in the episode.
Across The Nation by The Union Underground
The theme was in the works for almost 4 years of the Ruthless Aggression Era. Filled with zeal and rock, the entrance was perfect as per the trends going around in the company at that time. One of the most suitable opening songs ever, ‘Across The Nation’ set the bar for all other themes that followed for the red brand.

…To Be Loved by Papa Roach
Another song that reached its peak during its stay was ‘… To Be Loved’ by Papa Roach. With the rock industry on its all-time high, the song kept the audience excited for almost three long years. The crazy beats of the drums and guitars were exactly what the fans had been looking forward to for a long time.
Burn It To The Ground by Nickleback
Coming from someone like Nickleback, the song was sure to be an absolute hit. A definition of rock in its truest sense, the theme provided the required pump for the event. However, following the legendary ‘… To Be Loved,’ the song failed to surpass its predecessor in spite of its three-year reign.
The Night by CFO$
CFO$ did amazing work creating ‘The Night.’ Despite being an exciting mixture of rapping and rocking, the song failed to become the top pick for the WWE Universe. The song had everything to pump up the crowd for what was yet to follow.
For the same reason, it remained in the works for almost four long years. However, its repetitive nature eventually compelled the fans to lose interest and by 2016, it marked its end with Monday Night RAW.
Enemies by Shinedown
The period from 2016 to 2018 marked numerous changes in the bookings and the workings of the WWE. Amidst this, the Monday Night RAW also went through a change. ‘Enemies’ came into existence, which brought back the vibe of the 90s in the company. This theme helped the fans connect better and eventually stay excited for the show.
Born For Greatness by Papa Roach
Papa Roach’s ‘… To Be Loved’ came out as an absolute banger in the past. With this, WWE took yet another chance with Pap Roach in 2018. However, the music failed to live up to its expectations and didn’t serve the purpose the company aimed for. As a result, it was removed after just one year of its induction.
Legendary by Skillet
Skillet reignited the hope in the hearts of the fans who wished to bring back the rock theme from the past. ‘Legendary’ worked magically to keep the audience hooked with its heavy beats. Consequently, the theme worked magic for the fans before it was replaced after one year of its run.

The Search by NF
NF rose to global prominence around 2020, and it was a golden chance for WWE to bring him to WWE. While he composed a beautiful track, it failed to go well with the audience. Despite being in the works for two years, the fans often lost connection. As soon as WWE returned to its normal workings, the theme took no time to get replaced by the current RAW theme.
Greatness by Vo Williams
Currently, Monday Night RAW works on the beats of ‘Greatness.’ The lyrics of the theme instantly instill power and aspirations in the minds of the fans. Vo Williams has done an incredible job of building up the adrenaline rush for the fans with his composition.

Though great, the theme is now all set to undergo a change. While there’s nothing bad about the same, fans can’t wait to speculate what better the company’s creatives have in mind. Whatever the case may be, it is sure that the upcoming themes too will continue to inspire and excite everyone present among the audience.
