The ONE Championship fight night is back with some interesting grappling matchups on November 3, 2023. In the co-main event, there will be Tye Ruotolo vs. Magomed Abdulkadirov, who will be competing against each other for the ONE welterweight submission grappling World Championship. The Fight Night will also include the bantamweight kickboxing championship bout, where Jonathan Haggerty will face Fabricio Andrade.
The event includes four MMA bouts, three kickboxing bouts, and one Muay Thai bout. The Brazilian-origin Ruotolo is an extremely skilled practitioner of the sport. At 16 years of age, he was placed fourth in the ADCC World Championship, making him the youngest athlete to reach the semis.

Magomed Abdulkadirov is a Russian-born fighter fighting out of his home country. This will be his debut fight in the organization, and he is looking forward to taking the gold. The Dagestani is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is a well-rounded martial artist. Abdulkadirov is also the European ADCC Grappling Champion, winning gold during the 2015 European trials.

In his debut with the organization, Ruotolo proved his capabilities when he defeated Garry Tonon, making it his submission win. The 20-year-old is currently undefeated and trains with Team Atos; he has a record of four wins. Having three wins via submission and one via decision.
He dominated his previous fight against Dagi Arslanaliev, which ended in a rear naked choke victory in round one itself. The champion weighs 179.9 lbs and is 5’10” tall with a reach of 75″. He has three finishes with a 75% finish rate.

His next fight with Magomed Abdulkadirov won’t be an easy one, as the 32-year-old welterweight packs experience to tackle Ruotolo. Abdulkadirov is 6 feet tall and has specialized in Sambo, MMA, wrestling, and BJJ. Being a veteran of the ADCC World Championship, he can showcase exceptional skills against the Californian.
Everything is on the line for Ruotolo as winning this match with a submission will probably make him the top grappler in the world. For Abdulkadirov, this match would give him the chance to deliver the biggest upsets of the year and showcase his skills on the international stage.
