WWE continued its habit of delivering great weekly shows with the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, as the show had several memorable moments. From the return of Gunther to the new developments around Wyatt Sicks, the episode was pretty special. But, in addition to the in-ring stars, legendary commentator Michael Cole has also been getting a lot of praise after the latest episode of the 3-hour show.
The red brand’s commentator has been a constant in the Stamford-based promotion for decades, and he has always been a fan-favorite. But the reason behind the appreciation he has been receiving after the June 24 episode is the special work Cole did, as the veteran did commentary for around 2 hours of the show alone.
In addition to that, Michael Cole also had to handle and sell the whole situation around the newly-debuted Wyatt Sicks. Usually, Pat McAfee is the guy who accompanies the legendary wrestling figure on the commentary desk, but the 37-year-old megastar was absent from this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

Due to McAfee‘s absence from the show, The Miz was performing commentary duties to help Michael in the initial half of the RAW. But, as he had to leave the commentary desk after some time, the 55-year-old WWE legend was on his own on commentary for two hours, and it’s safe to say that he did it with perfection, as nobody felt awkward about having a single commentator for the show.
Fans hail Michael Cole for his dedication towards work on RAW
The WWE Universe grabbed the opportunity to acknowledge Michael’s greatness and hail him for his dedication towards work on RAW. Pointing out that he never felt alone during Monday’s show, someone from the professional wrestling community said, “It didn’t even sound like he was alone.” (Via: X)
Sharing how Cole was on another level, someone wrote, “Dude was on his game tonight big time.” “He did an amazing job tonight,” another fan said. “Michael Cole definitely deserves this flowers,” a wrestling enthusiast commented. “Legend in every sense of the word,” someone stated while talking about Cole’s greatness as a commentator.
WWE stayed quiet about the absence of Pat McAfee
Michael Cole didn’t have his commentary partner with him on this week’s RAW, but WWE stayed quiet about the absence of Pat McAfee. The fan-favorite megastar’s absence and the lack of acknowledgement from the company about it have left the audience pretty worried. But it probably isn’t that big of an issue, as it is potentially a part of the newly-debuted Wyatt Sicks storyline.

McAfee was paid a virtual visit by the faction when Triple H made an appearance on his show. During that, suddenly a scrambling noise appeared with the special message, “You lied.” This was probably a sign that they were going to go behind Pat McAfee soon, and there’s a chance that it could be the reason behind his absence from Monday’s show. Thus, it remains to be seen what’s next in line for this interesting storyline in WWE.
