Disgraced former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar was a married man while he sexually abused scores of young women. Nassar was married to Stephanie. The pair got married on October 19, 1996, as reported by The Sun. The marriage took place at East Lansing’s St. John’s Catholic Church. It was later understood that at least two of Larry’s accusers were present at the wedding.
Stephanie is a well-educated woman who attended Michigan State University in 1992. Seven years later, in 1999, she earned a degree of MS from the University of Detroit’s Physician Assistant program. According to The Sun, in 2021, she was “still employed as a pediatric Physician’s Assistant in Lansing, Michigan.”
The couple is parents to three children, two daughters and a son. However, not much is known about the lives of their children.
Stephanie filed for divorce from Larry Nassar in 2017 and she granted sole custody of all their children
After numerous accusations against Nassar came up and he was ultimately fired from his post, Stephanie filed for divorce on January 25, 2017. This turned out to be almost a year to the day before Nassar was sentenced to life in prison.

Stephanie, however, was granted the divorce within six months. She also received sole custody of their three children.
It was later reported that, at Nassar’s hearing, neither Stephanie nor her children were present. However, Stephanie has been caught up in having her name mentioned in a federal lawsuit. Alaina Bamfield, one of Nassar’s accusers, stated that Stephanie had referred her to Nassar. After this, the assault took place.
Nassar was convicted of sexually abusing over 100 young girls and women. He used to abuse them under the guise of medical treatment.
Rachel Denhollander was one of the first women to accuse Nassar. She did so in 2000 when she was 15 years old. However, the matter was not taken further. Later, in 2018, over 150 women proceeded to recount how they were sexually abused by Nassar.
In 2021, seven-time Olympic medallist Simon Biles spoke against Nassar and slammed the FBI for not investigating adequately.
