Jey Uso signed with WWE way before The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns did. However, now it has been revealed that when Roman Reigns started working for the promotion, Jey Uso’s pay was very low.
Jey Uso joined WWE in 2009 and has come a long way since then. Besides being a top wrestler in the company, he has emerged as a fan-favorite WWE superstar as well. However, his early days in the promotion weren’t as smooth as they are now.
WWE Superstar Big E recently spoke with Steve Fall of Count Media. During that, he reported that in 2010, his and Jey Uso’s WWE salary was $500 per week. He even mentioned how he used to pick up Jey Uso on their way to practice since Jey didn’t have a car back then.
Big E Said, “We’re talking Circa 2010, I was picking Jey up ’cause he didn’t have a car. I would pick him up on the way to practice. You know this is the time we were making 500$ a week”.
On the other hand, Roman Reigns signed with WWE in 2010 and started performing in FCW which was WWE’s developmental territory back then. However, since then he has garnered a lot of fame and accomplishments and is hailed as one of the best pro wrestlers currently active on the WWE roster.
What is Jey Uso’s and Roman Reigns’ WWE salary now?
A lot has been going on with Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and the rest of The Bloodline. Whatever the situation, there’s no doubt that they are the top stars in the company right now.
Reportedly, Roman Reigns stands in a position where he is one of the highest-paid WWE wrestlers with an annual salary of $5 Million. While his net worth stands at $20 Million.
Meanwhile, Jey Uso who was underpaid during the beginning of his career, currently bags an annual salary of $250,000 from WWE. Jey has a net worth of about $2 Million. However, he is currently away from WWE.

Previously, Jey went on to face Reigns at SummerSlam 2023 in a Tribal Combat for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and the recognition of the Tribal Chief. However, Jey lost the match between the pair, following interference from his brother, Jimmy Uso.
Later on WWE SmackDown Jimmy explained his behaviour and apologized. However, a frustrated Jey took him out with a superkick and declared that he was out of WWE. It all seems to be a part of the storyline with the hope that Jey will return soon. Are you shocked to learn about Jey Uso getting underpaid at the beginning of his career?
