It was a great gesture by the former Light Heavyweight Champion. Nonetheless, there remains a huge concern about whether The Notorious will be able to return to the octagon. Moreover, there will be doubts whether he would be able to perform at the same level that he once did if he manages to make a comeback from this terrible injury.
While McGregor remains committed to coming back looking at his post-fight comments, only time will tell what lies ahead for the former two-division champion. This is because Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman have suffered similar injuries and Silva was not able to be the beast he once was.
