ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Champion Mikey Musumeci has seen his fame skyrocket since making his ONE debut in 2022. So much so that he has now found himself on daytime TV in his native United States.
“Darth Rigatoni” is fresh from a stunning calf slicer submission win over heated rival Gabriel Sousa at ONE 167: Tawanchai vs. Nattawut II earlier this month.
Aside from the grappling skills that have seen him net five submissions in his unbeaten seven fight run with ONE Championship, Musumeci has also gained notoriety for his quirky eating habits.
After enduring a punishing 12-hour training day while fasting, the 27-year-old then indulges in an epic feast of homemade pizza and pasta to refuel his body at night.

Musumeci regularly shares posts on social media showing him cooking and eating the cuisine of his Italian heritage and, incredibly, it’s those skills that have seen him land on Good Day New York this past Friday.
Mikey Musumeci appears on national TV with favorite pasta
ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Champion Mikey Musumeci has revealed his favorite pasta on Good Day New York.
Appearing on the popular American daytime television program, Musumeci cooked his signature meal for hosts Curt Menefee and Rosanna Scotto – pesto pasta.
“You can’t get sick of pesto. I learned it from my friend from Italy, and it’s my favorite. It’s really easy to make. It’s very simple. So, I finish training, all-day training, 24 hours, and then I’ll eat this,” he said.
You can bet that Musumeci will be indulging in his fair share of pesto pasta over the next few months.
The Evolve MMA representative will be hard at work preparing for his blockbuster match against ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Champion Kade Ruotolo on September 6.
The Musumeci versus Ruotolo matchup is a grappling enthusiasts dream.
The American pair are set to clash at ONE 168: Denver, with Ruotolo’s lightweight submission grappling crown on the line at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
