Ashley Louise Urbanski, aka Shotzi, has a special place in the WWE Universe for her unique style. Hailing from California, she was 22 when she took her first step towards the professional wrestling industry. After much hustle, she signed with the WWE in 2019. Ever since then, her career has been escalating at a constant rate.
After spending almost two years with the gold and black brand of WWE, she made her main roster debut in 2021. This also marked the beginning of her popularity and increasing fandom. With many men eyeing the green-haired WWE star, fans are curious to know if Shotzi is dating someone.
It must be noted that Shotzi is engaged. The former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion announced her engagement on her official Instagram account via a story. She shared a clip on her profile where her better half went down on his knees to propose to her. “We’re engaged,” she wrote along with the clip. However, the WWE star took down the video soon after, for unknown reasons.

Being quite private about her personal life, she has kept other details about her fiance to herself. However, it is expected that the couple is going strong together and may soon tie the knot. Looking at Shotzi’s expression during the proposal, it is evident that her fiance gives her a safe place, which contradicts her tough childhood.
Shotzi had a very traumatizing childhood
As great as she is now in WWE, Shotzi’s childhood was equally traumatizing. Back in 2020, she shared multiple incidents of her life with Chasing Glory that revolved around se*ual abuse as a child. Her school wasn’t a safe place for her and she had a horrible time at it.
Shotzi revealed that she was ra*ed as a child when she was in high school. “Everyone at school did not believe me. And like, they just labeled me as a sl*t,” she added. Bullying was another thing that compelled her to change multiple high schools. It was then theatre that came to her rescue amidst this trauma.
Apart from this, she also faced s*xual abuse by her own uncle. Confessing the same, she said, “I came out to my middle school counselor – [my uncle] went to jail. He’s still in jail now. But when I came out about it, some of my family didn’t believe me.” Recalling the dreadful time, Shotzi broke down amidst the interview. However, professional wrestling has given her the love she deserves.
