The Kings do not have any major injuries recorded at the moment. But they will have to regain momentum to avoid the play-in tournament berths. Right now, LA and Sacramento are potentially headed into the pre-playoff tournament as the ninth and seventh seeds respectively.
The Lakers could lose against the Kings without LeBron James
It is unclear whether LeBron James will participate against the Kings. However, he has been performing at a high level lately. James was named the conference player of the month recently while averaging 25.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game. But Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell will play massive roles against the Kings.
Russell’s scoring has helped the Lakers secure crucial wins. Davis’ defense was pivotal against the Thunder while he was paired against Chet Holmgren. He should be a major threat to Sabonis in this matchup. This will be their second matchup against each other. The Kings won there during their initial meeting.
Besides Sabonis, the Kings will only be able to overcome the Lakers’ given that Fox and Monk bring out some consistency in scoring. Otherwise, the Lakers have a good chance of winning this time.
