In that regard, it is worth mentioning that WWE events are now referred to as ‘Premium Live Events’ or PLE instead of ‘Pay per view” or PPV. This is to focus on the fact that the events are available to watch at no additional charge via streaming platforms.
Thus, it seems The Second City Saint fumbled big time on the mic during the 2024 Backlash pre-show, however, he later managed it like a pro by saying that he is the new guy in that field.
Fans reacted to CM Punk fumbling on the mic
CM Punk’s appearance on WWE television is always appreciated by the fans. With that, The Best in the World was seen during the Backlash Pre-show, and his confusion between the Premium Live Event and the Pay Per View Event brought a lot of reaction from the fans.
As soon as The Second City Saint fumbled on the mic, several fans took their ‘X’ handles to share their thoughts on the matter. It seems different fans reacted differently to the matter. Some of the fans wanted to know what PLE actually means. On the other hand, others called Punk a “megastar.”
With that, it remains to be seen how Punk will continue to entertain the WWE Universe with his appearances. Also, fans will look forward to more of his fiery promos inside and outside the squared circle.
Why didn’t CM Punk fight at WWE Backlash?
Though CM Punk recently made an appearance on the pre-show panel of Backlash 2024, he didn’t have a match scheduled at the Premium Live Event. This is because of his injury. Previously, Punk participated in the 2024 Royal Rumble match, during which he tore his right triceps and was declared unable to compete for the time being.
Meanwhile, he is currently involved in a feud with Drew McIntyre. Though they haven’t yet faced each other inside the squared circle, they have been continuously taking shots at each other on the mic. However, there’s still no official update on when The Best in the World will make his return to the ring.
