Hulk Hogan has been an admired pro wrestler for a long time and has a legacy at WWE. But at the same time, he also upholds his reputation for being a controversial sports entertainer. Previously, when he was on Joe Rogan’s podcast, he made some shocking confessions. This included facts about his career at the Stamford-based promotion and his beef with a WWE Hall of Famer.
Hulk Hogan has been caught many times making up exaggerated stories about his illustrious career and his feuds with other performers, like when he faked an injury against The Undertaker in the Survivor Series of 1991. He talked about his feud with Kurt Angle, where the wrestler blames Vince McMahon for fueling up Kurt to grind Hogan, stirring up a new controversy.
Along with several other shocking revelations he made on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Hogan made a bold statement. He said, “Well, Vince told me to screw you. I said, Oh, really, Vince told you to do that. I said I can’t wait to get a hold of Vince now. But Vince put it in Kurt’s ear when you’re on these House shows with Hogan and nobody sees you, you’re not on TV, go out and grind his a**, you know so that was a big thing for Vince”.
Hogan further added, “You know, if it was wrestling San Antonio tonight with no cameras, he’d sick Kurt Angle on me for the first five or six minutes. Just for fun, just to joke, because we would all do that sh*t to each other; it’s just a normal wrestling rib, you know“.
Hulk Hogan explained how Kurt Angle told him that he was advised by Vince McMahon to scr*w him when there were no cameras on them. According to Hogan, Vince did this for fun, which is a pretty big allegation against the former CEO of WWE.
Hulk Hogan called Kurt an “Amateur” wrestler given the fact that he was an Olympic gold medalist before joining WWE. Later in the last years of Hulk Hogan’s career, he lost to Kurt Angle by Tapping Out at the King of the Ring Event of 2002.
Kurt Angle has his say on the beef with Hulk Hogan
Previously, Kurt Angle humorously described the incident that took place between him and Hulk Hogan on his podcast. He said that Vince McMahon called him up in his office before Hogan and told him that he would make Hulk ‘Tap out’ on the next pay-per-view. Angle joked about how Vince asked him to get right up to Hogan’s face and intimidate him.
Kurt Angle shared his thoughts on wrestling with Hogan in the past and said, “Listen, he’s the biggest name in the history of professional wrestling. You get the opportunity to get in the ring with him. You better be excited, you better be happy, and you better put on a five-star performance”.
Kurt further added, “At this point in his career, Hulk Hogan could still go. I mean, I’m not gonna tell you that he was quick and flashy, right? But he got the job done”.
The 54-year-old WWE Hall of Famer was always excited to wrestle with Hulk. He tried to give his absolute best whenever he got the opportunity. Both of these superstars have been legendary in their eras. Kurt Angle made his debut in the Stamford-based promotion when Hogan was in the last stage of his career. Both of them came across each other enough times, and fans loved their feud.
Hulk Hogan at The Joe Rogan Experience made many bold claims about his career, life, and his Fentanyl episode. However, given the history of the superstar’s exaggerated stories, all his claims may not be true. Fans enjoyed the podcast and got to know about insights from WWE Universe and Hulk Hogan’s Life.
