Crown Jewel and WrestleMania are both pro wrestling PPV events produced by WWE. WrestleMania is the promotion’s flagship event. The company has been holding the event since 1985 and, until now, has held 39 editions of the event.
On the other hand, Crown Jewel is among the various PPV events that WWE organizes all around the year. It takes place between October and November and has been held in Saudi Arabia, owing to WWE’s partnership with the country. With that, there’s one question that has continuously popped up among the fans. They have often wondered if WWE earns more from Crown Jewel than WrestleMania.
Previously, Brandon Thurston reported that for each PPV event that WWE holds in Saudi Arabia, the Stamford-based promotion earns $50 million. Thus, WWE earns $50 million from each Crown Jewel event. On the other hand, it was earlier reported that WWE earned nearly $22 million from WrestleMania 39.
It is to be noted that WWE has held a total of nine events in Saudi Arabia for the last five years. Keeping in mind that the company earns $50 million from each event, WWE has earned a total of $450 million from its deal with Saudi Arabia to date.
With that, Wrestlenomics previously shed light on the total ticket revenues from all the WrestleMania held until WrestleMania 38, and the amount stands at nearly $250 million. Now that it’s known how much WWE has earned from WrestleMania 39, adding the number, it can be said that the total ticket revenue from all the WrestleMania held stands at $272 million.
Thru 8 events in Saudi Arabia, WWE has nearly made 2x as much revenue as they’ve generated from every Wrestlemania ticket ever.

WWE has earned $450 million from only nine events held in Saudi Arabia. On the other hand, the company has earned $272 million from 39 editions of WrestleMania so far, as per reports. Hence, with nearly $178 million more in revenue, it is evident why Crown Jewel events are so important for WWE.
WWE will hold Crown Jewel events in Saudi Arabia till 2027
WWE, the largest wrestling promotion in the world, has been organizing various events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2014. Moving ahead, four years later in 2018, the Stamford-based promotion announced a 10-year partnership with Saudi Arabia. The deal will result in WWE holding PPV events in the country in the coming days.
In addition, in November 2019, the Triple H-led promotion once again announced the expansion of the partnership until 2027. As per the condition of the expansion, WWE will hold two huge-scale events in the country every year. Thus, it can be understood that WWE will hold Crown Jewel events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until 2027.
The first Crown Jewel event that the Stamford-based promotion held in Saudi Arabia was in 2018. It took place in November of the year and aired live from Riyadh. Following that, the company has consistently held the Crown Jewel event every year in the country. However, owing to COVID-19, the promotion was unable to hold the event in 2020.
With that, WWE is once again set to hold the 2023 Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. The event is all set to take place on November 4, 2023. The match card for the event also looks packed, and it features several top-notch Superstars on the roster.
Thus, there’s a long way to go in the partnership between Saudi Arabia and WWE. Till then, the promotion will continue holding two major PPV events in the country every year. It remains to be seen what the Triple H-led promotion will have to present to its fans in the upcoming days while traveling with its crew to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
