The Undertaker has been considered the most successful character in WWE history, and Taker’s creativity had a major role in making it such an iconic thing. In the modern generation superstars, many performers tried to follow his footsteps, but if there’s one guy who was able to establish himself as an icon in terms of creative storytelling it’s Bray Wyatt.
The Fiend was able to achieve greatness as a performer at a very young age, but his career ended unexpected with his unfortunate passing. Bray was often compared to The Phenom due to the similarities in their gimmicks, and the way they made a name for themselves, and The Deadman talked about this during a recent interview.
While appearing on Chris Van Vliet’s YouTube podcast, the veteran shared details about his conversations with Wyatt, and his comments were of a kind that make member of the WWE fanbase emotional. Taker said, “He was like me in a sense that, he was doing things that was different than what everybody else was doing. Just like, I was doing things that was different when I came up.”
In addition to this, The Phenom revealed that he and Bray Wyatt often had discussions about the Bray’s storylines. “He was just basically asking me a lot of times, how I handle that, how I presented ideas, and how I presented ideas to opponents, and things like that,” The Undertaker added while talking about the kind of conversations he had with the late WWE superstar before his death.
Bray Wyatt and The Undertaker had a memorable on-screen interaction at RAW XXX
The Phenom shared the story about his conversations with The Fiend on Chris Van Vliet’s podcast, but their backstage conversations aren’t the only talks they had. In fact, Bray Wyatt and The Undertaker had a memorable on-screen interaction at RAW XXX, which remained a topic of discussion for a long time.
It happened on the January 23, 2023, episode of the red brand, as The Deadman made his presence felt during a segment between Wyatt and LA Knight. After his entrance, Taker took out Knight, but before leaving the ring, he whispered something in Bray’s ear. This moment grabbed everyone’s attention, and people started wondering what he said.
The answer to this was given by The Undertaker himself in an interview, as he said, “I just let him know too that my phone’s always on and if he needs to talk to me about things or run things by me, that’s cool.” Even from these comments, it’s understandable that these two stars shared a great bond in real life.
The Undertaker believes Bray Wyatt should have been the one to break his streak
Taker has a lot of praise for creativity of The Wyatt Family Leader, and he wasn’t shy about talking about it. Due to this, the veteran once made a major revelation about a storyline idea for Bray, which could have made him an even bigger star. Everyone knows that it was Brock Lesnar who ended The Phenom’s historic streak, but The Undertaker believes that Bray Wyatt should have been the one to break it.
The Deadman shared his thoughts about this matter and claimed that The Beast was not the right choice to break the streak. He shared that Roman Reigns would have been a better choice, but while sharing who was the perfect guy to achieve this historic accolade, Taker shared that it should have been Bray.
The Undertaker shared this on his own YouTube podcast and said, “The most logical person to break it would have been Bray Wyatt. Probably of the three, it would have meant more to his career than even Roman’s.” These comments by The Phenom show how highly he rated Wyatt, but the two weren’t able to have any on-screen interaction after RAW XXX, as the leader of The Wyatt Family died unexpectedly in August 2023.
