Every NBA star has their own approach and mentality when playing in the league. Some of them embrace the role of being called the villain. This claim showed to have some legitimacy given that he had a much better performance in Game 3 compared to the first 2 games of this series.
“Maybe I didn’t pay attention. But he, I think is used to it. he did that last year with a bunch of like….Maybe he likes to be like that guy. But in one way that’s leadership. Taking pressure on himself and he likes that and enjoys that I think …..It was a tough stretch for him and some nights…”
Jokic added, “I mean it’s basketball. Some nights you can make shots and sometimes you can miss open looks sometimes you make tough shots so it’s just a basketball thing. You cannot be perfect. I think he responded well.”
Since Jamal finished Game 3 scoring 24 points on 11 of 21 shooting, he certainly appeared to get over his shooting struggles and help his team get the win.
