It looks like things are not going all too well between UFC President Dana White, and UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Just last week, internet was going rife with the speculation of a super fight between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou. However, it all fell apart after it was announced that UFC has decided not to entertain the amount Jon Jones wanted for this super-fight. Earlier, former light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier had urged Jon Jones to be transparent on the issue, and reveal the amount he had asked from UFC.

Recently, UFC President Dana White also addressed the issue and had some starling remarks on the entire situation. White claimed that the price Jones was asking for the super-fight against Francis Ngannou wasn’t meaningful, and that such demands at a time like this doesn’t make any sense. Jon Jones had reacted on the issue, and called out Dana White for lying on the matter. However, recent tweets from Jon Jones suggests that the entire situation has taken a ugly turn. So much, that the light heavyweight champion has offered White to release him from his UFC contract.
Jon Jones offers Dana White to release him from his UFC contract
if you’re wondering I’m not fighting with Ufc. I’m not mad at Dana or beefing. Just surprised he went that route. I said my piece, I’m over it— BONY (@JonnyBones) May 29, 2020
Jon Jones had cleared the air, addressing the situation and giving out a message that he is not picking a fight with UFC. However, his barrage of tweets earlier toady suggests otherwise. Jones took to twitter and called Dana White “a fuc***** liar” before calling him out for making false claims.
Don’t be a fucking liar, my reputation has already taking enough hits. I don’t need this bullshit Dana. I never asked for Diante Wilder‘s numbers. And how about since Diante is making 30 million, we settle for half of that. Since you said I’m the goat and everything.— BONY (@JonnyBones) May 29, 2020
Jones also claimed that his Dana White is toying with is reputation, and that he will keep defending himself. He put a stop to White’s statement where he said Jones was asking him the amount on par with how much Deontay Wilder received for his boxing bout against Tyson Fury late last year.

If you’re going to stick to these lies, I’m going to stick to defending myself. Please have your lawyer Hunter Campbell release those text messages.— BONY (@JonnyBones) May 29, 2020
I don’t even make half of half of what Diante Wilder makes. If my reputation causes you to undervalue me this much. Just go ahead and release me from my @Ufc contract altogether. I’m sure some promoter somewhere will be more than happy to pick me up.— BONY (@JonnyBones) May 29, 2020
Jones was furious at Dana White for apparent lying. He also asked him to release him from his UFC contract, if his reputation was the reason he is being undervalued so much by the company. Jones also revealed he earns more than $5 million in each fight, however if Dana thinks he is the GOAT, he deserves at least half of what Wilder made in the bocing ring against Tyson Fury. Wilder’s reported purse was $5 million, while his total earning reached $30 million for his rematch against Tyson Fury late last year.
