Over his career, Vince McMahon has been embroiled in several scandals. Over the years, he has been the target of several accusations and charges. Vince is undoubtedly one of the most brilliant business-minded people around. However, he has always been controversial and has many problems due to his questionable activities and behavior.
For most of his career, McMahon’s s*xual assaults have cast him in a poor light. His competence as a professional has never been questioned. But accusations regarding his personal life have always been a major issue for him and the WWE. Vince’s attacks and personal life have long worried TKO’s higher authorities, even after the company combined with the UFC to form TKO.
A few weeks ago, former WWE Employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon revealing the dark deeds of the former Chairman. Fans began to speculate about the end of Vince McMahon in the WWE after the most recent lawsuit filed against him.
Vince has been the center of attention for several accusations and s*xual situations over the years. However, McMahon has paved the way out of them without getting any severe punishment. This time, Things took a turn as Grant decided to spit out the incident in front of everyone.
Out of all the women who came forward against Vince and were muted by the authorities, Janel Grant was the one who spelled out the evil deeds. After the horrific scandal was made public, Vince had no choice but to step down from his position as Executive Chairman of TKO.
Has WWE erased Vince McMahon from history like Chris Benoit?
Given that the 78-year-old has severed all relations with WWE, it appears that his future with the organization is also at risk. Many people are shocked to see that Vincent’s profile has been removed from the Triple H-led promotion’s official website. This came as no surprise as his involvement with the company will surely impact negatively ahead.

With McMahon erased from the company’s website, he might get the same treatment as Chris Benoit. Benoit, a legendary wrestler, has had his whole career with WWE erased. In the early 2000s, “Rabid Wolverine” rose to prominence as one of the most well-liked WWE stars. Benoit was one of the most intense WWE superstars ever and a well-respected veteran of the ring.
Following an incident in which Benoit took the lives of his wife and children before taking his own life, WWE has made an effort to remove Benoit from their archives. The same seems to be the case with Vince as WWE has avoided mentioning him in their commentaries or any archives.
Another incident proving it came during the WrestleMania XL Kickoff event. The event proved to be entertaining for the fans involving Cody Rhodes’s dramatic decision to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania amid The Rock’s addition into the frame. It also gave another shocking moment where Michael Cole talked about Pat McAfee’s WrestleMania record.
Michael Cole called Pat McAfee “undefeated at WrestleMania” on last night’s WrestleMania 40 Kickoff.

While CM Punk and Big E were hosting the show, Cole commented on Pat being unbeaten at WrestleMania. Everyone was taken aback by the Monday Night RAW commentator’s statement as Pat was defeated by Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania 38.
It is important to highlight that, despite Cole’s assertion that Pat has never lost at WrestleMania, the business hasn’t done that. The explanation for this is that McAfee’s WrestleMania 38 match versus Vincent is still mentioned in his bio on the official WWE website.
Apart from all the incidents, Vince might be soon erased from the company’s databases. With all the negativity surrounding him, it will be difficult to induct him into the Hall Of Fame. All his segments and promos may never get mentioned again on television.
Will Vince McMahon ever return to the WWE?
The accusations against Mr. McMahon have shocked the WWE community, but the 78-year-old has maintained his innocence. Vince has, in fact, adamantly refuted every accusation of s*x trafficking made against him. Vince released a statement about his resignation from the TKO Group at the same time. Vince’s allegations also brought Brock Lesnar into the frame.
However, a dispute surrounding The Beast has put him in the spotlight since late January 2024. The former WWE Champion’s life has changed significantly since he was mentioned in Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon. Given the gravity of Lesnar’s charges, the Triple H-led promotion immediately shelved all original plans for the veteran.
Just like Lesnar, Vince might be soon removed from everywhere in the archives of WWE. Soon after Vince resigned from TKO, they stated the same. “He will no longer have a role with TKO Group Holdings or WWE,” wrote WWE President Nick Khan. TKO President Mark Shapiro has also talked about the status of Vince after the horrific allegations.
“We’re not in conversations with him. We don’t know his motives, his plans, or his timeline,” stated Shapiro. He further also stated that Vince will never return to the company ending all the speculations of a return. “He doesn’t work for the company, doesn’t come into the office and he’s not coming back to the company. And that’s where we sit,” said Shapiro.
Several reports also claim that TKO CEO Ari Emanuel and President and COO Mark Shapiro called the 78-year-old the day following the lawsuit’s filing. It is alleged that Emanuel and Shapiro pressed for his resignation, arguing that it would benefit TKO as a business, during that conversation. According to reports, McMahon consented, which caused him to formally retire later that evening.
With a rich history behind him, Vince has in a way destroyed his legacy in the world of professional wrestling. From being on the top of the professional wrestling mountain, to now, someone whose history is being erased in the greatest pro wrestling promotion in the world.
