Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 continues to be one of the most anticipated titles. With millions of fans all across the globe desperately waiting for the game to release, and the developers remaining tight lipped about any developments, even the tiniest bit of information is bound to create waves of excitement and spark conversations.
Last month, the Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick teased a April 2024 to March 2025 release window for the release of the much-awaited game. However, there has been no concrete information on the same so far. The one and only official confirmation that fans have about GTA 6 is that the game is in development, which was announced by developer Rockstar Games back in February 2022.
Ever since, there have been many bits and pieces of information (read leaks) floating in the air. True fans of the GTA franchise will know the special place that Vice City holds in the game and in the hearts of the fans. Being the first ever map to ever feature on GTA, the Vice City setting and locations spark a feeling of nostalgia and joy among the GTA fans.

Last year, when rumors about GTA 6 bringing back the iconic GTA setting started doing rounds, fans were more than pleased, as this meant that GTA 6 would bring back a lot of memories and feelings of the first-ever GTA game, which had Tommy Vercetti as the protagonist.
GTA 6 confirmed to have Vice City
As more and more leaks started to surface with time, the rumor started turning into reality with videos and clips from the gameplay showing evidence of Vice City setting. Today another leaked video was circulated on the internet that further strengthened the claims.
The leaked video shows the rumored male protagonist Jason walking in and out of a Metro train. The video confirmed two things. Firstly, since Jason is able to move in and out of the stationed Metro coach, it confirms the presence of public transports modes in GTA. Public transport modes were also available in the previous installments of the game, namely, GTA 4 and GTA 5.

The second and most significant confirmation comes from the branding that appears on the Metro train. The text is quite legible and reads ‘Vice City Metro.’ This confirms that the GTA 6 game will be set around the classic and legendary Vice City setting.
Prior to this the Vice City setting was confirmed though a leak from a hacker group LAPSUS$. The return of Vice City is surely a thing to look forward to for all the GTA fans. With Vice City returning, it would be interesting to see if the loved protagonist Tommy Vercetti also makes an appearance in GTA 6.
