Alaverdi Ramazanov and Petchtanong Petchfergus will face off in their respective returns at ONE Fight Night 23: Buntan vs. Meksen on Prime Video on July 5.
Ramazanov made waves when he stormed the ring to confront Jonathan Haggerty after the British star defeated Nong-O Hama for the Thai’s bantamweight Muay Thai crown last year. “Babyface Killer” demanded a showdown with “The General” before being removed from the ring.
“You see? [He’s] scared [of] me, scared, scared. Don’t run, don’t run. Just tell me, why are you scared of me?” Ramazanov said to Haggerty.

As Ramazanov left, ONE Commentator Mitch Chilson implored the Russian star to earn his place.
“Alaverdi, your time will come. Earn a title shot. But right now, this moment belongs to ‘The General’,” Chilson said. Now, Ramazanov has just the opponent he needs to thrust his name right back into the kickboxing World Title mix.
Alaverdi Ramazanov to face Petchtanong Petchfergus
Former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champions collide when Alaverdi Ramazanov takes on Petchtanong Petchfergus in a pivotal bantamweight kickboxing battle at ONE Fight Night 23.
The pair lock horns at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, as they both plot their respective paths back to the top of their division. Petchtanong has been out of action since he outpointed Hiroki Akimoto for the ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title in November 2022.

The Thai superstar was subsequently stripped of his title and suspended for failing an out-of-competition drug test. Now cleared to resume his career, the 38-year-old is hungrier than ever to add to his accolades under the ONE banner.
Ramazanov, for his part, reigned over the bantamweight kickboxing division from 2019 until 2021. He unsuccessfully challenged then-champion Nong-O Hama for Muay Thai gold last year, as he was clearly motivated to win a ONE World Title. The 29-year-old returned to the win column with a stunning first-round knockout win over Italy’s Alessandro Sara at ONE Friday Fights 31 in September.
