The Ferrari team saw a disastrous finish to their Dutch Grand Prix. But it seems Fred Vasseur is already looking the other way. The team had mishaps over and over during the race. It started with Charles Leclerc calling in to pit over the radio, but when the cameras panned to the Ferrari pit, the tires were not ready. While the pit crew stood there looking at the car dumbfounded. This was also when the rain had hit the Zandvoort tracks. However, Leclerc soon retired from the race due to technical issues.
Carlos Sainz, on the contrary, did an incredible job of getting the same car to a P5. The driver did not waste another minute when the rain hit, to make his way through. While his teammate faced technical issues, Sainz was gaining the team some points. However, this is not the first time Ferrari’s strategy has failed them. The Ferrari team has been compared to clowns and much more for their insane strategies. And now even for their “McDonalds” inspired race suits.
Can someone please explain what Ferrari were hoping to do a pitstop with…

While everyone has taken it upon themselves to troll Ferrari. However, the red team has decided to work on their new car instead of improving their SF23. After only winning a few podiums with the courtesy of Charles Leclerc, the Ferrari has had horrible races every other weekend. While this may not be working out for them entirely, they have now also announced to stop any more upgrades to the car.
Fred Vasseur confirms Ferrari has shifted their focus to 2024
The team was first trolled for their simple floor earlier in the season. After this Ferrari evidently took a huge inspiration from the Red Bull car and copied it to the SF23. Because of this “major upgrade”, Ferrari was able to surpass Max Verstappen on one occasion but only win podiums in the end. While Red Bull continues to dominate, all teams have been left to wonder what they are lacking. Ferrari may have a lot more to catch onto.
Fred Vasseur spoke about Carlos Sainz’s performance. As quoted from Formu1a.uno, he said, “Sainz’s fifth position is a good result considering the conditions. We remain confident in Monza. It’s a very different track from Holland and should go better with our car,”

Updates will arrive in Japan/Qatar, but they aren’t designed to improve the SF-23.

But Ferrari has made it clear that their entire focus is on next year. According to the team, the car’s actual issue cannot be solved because of this season. Therefore, the team cannot introduce new upgrades to improve the car. However, they will be getting new upgrades in Japan and Qatar but will have no improvements to the car.
