Fernando Alonso gave everyone the thrill of the Formula 1 sport by the end of the Brazilian Grand Prix. Although the Aston Martin team has struggled a little after the first half of the season, the team seems to have turned things around for themselves. After consistent DNF performances and finishing out of the points, Alonso found a way to bring back his team forward.
The qualification ended with one of the most shocking starting grids. Lance Stroll was seen in the front of the grid for the very first time in 2023. Stroll also managed to outqualify his teammate. However, Alonso has always been a two-time champion in his blood.
The Spaniard had one of the best runs during the Sao Paulo race as he finished P3. This would be his 8th podium of the season with Lando Norris following him with 7 podiums. However, it was the great battle in the last lap of the race against Sergio Perez that gave him the Driver of the Day Award too.

“When he passed me with two laps left, I thought it was gone. The podium is gone. It’s not possible but he came in pretty late into one so I said okay I go for it. And yeah, this is a phenomenal result for the team. We are still learning about the car coz it is so complex. So we are still experimenting a little bit to find the direction for next year.”
