Andretti Global recently became a part of the bid to join the Formula 1 sport. Although the sport has 10 teams already with 20 drivers in total driving for the championship, FIA has decided that there could be much more challenges in the sport.
Nonetheless, they have already made up their mind with Andretti Global joining in. However, many teams have spoken against the team joining in.
But with FIA’s Ben Sulayem, giving direct orders has teams being hit with reality. It seems that Andretti joining the team is inevitable. Sulayem has given his verdict on Andretti’s powertrains.
Although they have plans to come in with Cadillac as their supplier for Powertrains, they may have to wait for it to happen. Until then FIA has directly ordered teams will have to prepare an engine for Andretti.
Andretti will not be left without an engine deal if it gains an #F1 entry, despite current uncertainty about its plans says the FIA ✍️
The US squad would need a customer deal in place for any initial foray in F1.

He said, “If all the teams say no, then the FIA has the power to go ahead and choose the two least used ones. We then put them in a draw, and we take one. It’s no secret, and I’m sure it’s Alpine or Honda, and one of them will win because that’s the rule.”
With plans of getting the team into Formula 1, one way or another, FIA has no plans of stopping. And it has decided to get all the teams to obey too.
Andretti talks about joining Formula 1 as an insider
Andretti has worked hard alongside his son to bring the team to great heights. And what many would have given up on, he has continued to get the team to Formula 1. And for him, the dream has been finally coming true.
After years of work, the team got its big break to even bid to be a part of the team. So when Andretti was asked about his plans in the sport and how he felt to finally be a part of it, he could not hide the “fan of the sport” in him.
He said, “As you can imagine, I love the sport so much, and I see the prospect of being part of it for the rest of my life, possibly. I’m a great fan, but I’m one of those who want to be on the inside. I like to be on the inside because that’s my role the way it’s been. And this will give me all the reason to just be part of it, travel, and enjoy that side of it. Because again, I cannot say enough that that’s been my life, and I wanted to continue that until the end.”
Andretti Cadillac have passed all the assessments and tests placed before them by the FIA.
So there’s little good reason why they shouldn’t be granted entry. It’s all rather messy, it would be good if F1 and the FIA had collaborated more on this topic. #QatarGP 🇶🇦 #F1 pic.twitter.com/DCwxJicSoo

The team owner once also had plans of owning his own team in the sport. But with the amount of work that it takes, it may take some time for him to get there. Lewis Hamilton too gave his opinion on Andretti joining the sport. And with them joining he has also expressed how he wishes to see more women entering the sport too.
