The weather in Spa has always come between the race for the Belgian Grand Prix. While the grid for the race has been confirmed through qualification, Max Verstappen who got himself a pole position has to serve his grid penalty and will be starting in P6. While driving from the back positions and winning a race has not been an issue for Max, the wet track might just be another advantage.
The weather so far has left the tracks dry. But it is expected to start raining around the 4th or 5th lap. But with these conditions, two teams will have the most advantage in this situation, one more than another. Red Bull recently brought more upgrades to their car for the Hungarian Grand Prix, which were supposed to help them in Spa too. Their upgrades were all in the side pods and the downforce of the car.
Another one of the teams according to Helmut, is McLaren. But the possible wet weather between the race will serve as an advantage for Max and will get him to his 8th consecutive win unless Sergio Perez manages to keep him behind. While the weather conditions are unreliable, fans have already started guessing who will win this race.
Will Max Verstappen win his 8th consecutive win?
Even after starting from a P6 because of a grid penalty, fans believe this weather might just be what Max needs. If he plays his cards right, the wet tracks will only serve to benefit him. When the weather updates were posted by Fastest Pitstop, fans said this would play into Max’s hand.

One fan said, “That might play into Max’s hand. Oscar didn’t seem particularly better than Max in the wet…” pointing out that although Oscar Piastri had a great pace, he was not in full control during the light shower.
Another fan mentioned, “O no Max will win behind the Safety Car as the Honda Dealership will let him go past everyone.”
While some fans were rooting for their favorite Red Bull driver, Max Verstappen, other fans just wanted a dry race. Fans went on to reply asking the “rain gods” to not let it pour. With the rain, Spa can turn into a deadly race track to be on. And in case of heavy rains, they might just halt the race.
Fans who weren’t fans of this unpredictable weather expressed their wanting a dry race. One fan said, “Can we just have one dry weekend for once? Haha”
Another added, “Every other format had dry sessions why do the rain gods hate F1.”
While the race seems to continue, the unpredictable weather can change the events taking place. The spa race has so far stayed dry with no rain or light showers, but it looks cloudy and unreliable.
