After 13 races completed in the 2023 season, an estimated crash damage cost list has been announced. The list does not flatter the performance of Sergio Perez. It has even placed rookie Logan Sargeant on top of this list.
The 2023 season has not been the best for Sergio Perez or Logan Sargeant. Both drivers have come across a lot of criticism over the past months. The 2 drivers have cost their respective teams a total of $4,361,000. The Williams driver has contributed the most to this.
Since Logan Sargeant is still a rookie, Perez has drawn more attention to this number. The Mexican driver has been in the sport for over 12 years now. He is driving for a top team. While being the top team makes it easier for them to afford the cost, they also provide a good car to make it easier for the drivers.

Although Perez was off to a good start to the season, he has cost the team a lot since the Monaco Grand Prix. Until then, he was a potential Championship contender along with Max Verstappen. He claims to have lost a bit of confidence in the car after crashing in the Monaco Grand Prix.
Logan Sargeant on the other hand has cost the team a total of $2,444,000. His total would not have been so high if not for the crash during his last race in Zandvoort. His crash at the Dutch Grand Prix alone has cost the team $1,474,000. This has placed his future with the team in doubt.
Will Logan Sargeant be replaced next season?
While Alex Albon has been impressive for the Williams this season, Logan Sargeant is yet to score a point in the 2023 Championship. He was recruited by the Williams team as a replacement for Nicholas Latifi.
He was not the first option for Williams. The team was hoping to sign Nyck de Vries for the 2023 season, but they were jumped by AlphaTauri. Logan was their secondary option. Being the only American driver on the grid, he has disappointed some of his fans with his performance so far. His best race finish is an 11th-place finish that occurred in Silverstone.
Logan Sargeant has never beaten his teammate on track so far. The Williams team has a total of 15 points in the WCC Championship. All of these points were contributed by Alex Albon. There are rumors of several drivers lined up to replace the American driver in the Williams for next year.
With Nyck de Vries now gone, the most under pressure man in Formula 1 is Williams driver Logan Sargeant.
The sport is brutal and if you don’t perform, you’re out. Monza is a great opportunity but Logan has nine races to save his career and I hope he does. #DutchGP 🇳🇱 #F1 pic.twitter.com/DrVi9WVvw8

If Logan wishes to maintain his seat in Formula 1, he will need to produce a good result in the coming races. His best chances of scoring a point would come in the Italian Grand Prix which is scheduled to take place this weekend. The Williams car is well suited to perform well in the Italian Grand Prix. The track in Monza is one of the most high-speed circuits on the calendar. Since the Williams car is known for its straight-line speed, it could serve the team well.
Let’s see if Logan Sargeant is able to produce a good result in the Italian Grand Prix this weekend. Otherwise, he could be in danger of losing his seat next year.
