Sebastian Vettel left the sport after his two years at Aston Martin. The driver showcased his brilliance over and over after winning podiums for each team he drove for. Throughout his career, Vettel has won four championship titles and become a legend battling Lewis Hamilton. However, his plans to leave the sport and the world of Formula 1 shocked everyone. The news came suddenly and soon enough posters of “Danke Seb” took over the arena.
Vettel, after his departure, turned to adopting a greener lifestyle. The driver has put in work and confessed he is in talks with the F1 CEO to make Formula 1 environment-friendly. After his statements, Helmut Marko disappointedly said that he could no longer return to the sport because of his stance on the environment. However, now he believes that there is one thing that can lure the German champion back to motorsport.

When talking to ServusTV, quoted by SoyMotor, Marko said, “I think his time as a pilot is not over yet for him,” Further confessing that Sebastian would want to be a part of a championship-winning team when he returns. The driver has seen the world as a champion, therefore, Helmut Marko believes Vettel would be back to Red Bull once he has decided it’s time to get back to F1. However, Perez is fixed for 2024 and Ricciardo is settled to replace him once the contract expires. This puts Red Bull in a tough spot in case Vettel returns again.
Sebastian Vettel drives title-winning RB7 at Nurburgring
After years of being apart from the RB7, Vettel soared in his title-winning car again. The German drove the car at Nurburgring prior to the annual 12-hour Endurance race. The car is now a show car for Red Bull’s promotional events. The RB7 served Vettel his second championship title in 2011. With the car, the four-time champion soared on the tracks of Nordschleife. From battles with Hamilton to winning a championship, the car has been with the German through it all.

During the live stream at the Nurburgring, Vettel talked about his RB7 too. However, he was caught by surprise when he found out it was the original seat he sat on. He said, “Obviously the cars are a bit smaller than they are now, but they’re also a lot lighter and more agile. A lot of good memories … It’s the original seat; it still fits. I’m very proud of that. I haven’t got fat yet! It was a lot of fun.”
Sebastian Vettel made it clear that he has no plans of returning to motorsports. The driver left by the end of the 2022 season. When he was asked why he had planned on retiring so soon, the driver confessed he now wants to spend time as a father and a husband rather than an F1 driver. Although Helmut Marko believes he could be back in no time, the driver has not confirmed any plans.
