Max Verstappen has talked about his racing quite a few times, but with that, there have also been mentions of his plans after retirement. Verstappen has dominated the sport winning two World Championship titles. So far into the season, he has also won 10 of the first 12 races. While he is on his way to getting his third title, he might also be thinking of retirement.
Although Max Verstappen has been breaking records in the sport he seems to be thinking ahead. It first started when the Dutchman called winning over and over again boring. After this statement, he went on to say he would retire sooner.
However, Max has not become impatient, not for winning but for doing something out of the sport. His love for Sim racing has always been highlighted throughout his career. When the two-time World Champion is on a break, he can be seen in Sim Racing.
The Red Bull star also has his own Sim Racing team, Verstappen.com Racing. But with his Sim Racing already on his path to having his own team, he is already on the move to the next one. Verstappen recently announced that he is working on yet another one of his racing teams. The star who made it clear, he would want to retire at the end of his contract in 2028, seems to already have his focus elsewhere.
Max Verstappen gets serious about after-retirement activities
Max Verstappen talked to Formula 1 Magazine, in which he talked about his love for Sim Racing. He is in the works of making his team build up from Sim racing to GT3. His father, Jos Verstappen, is also in the works and helping the star with his own team. According to the Dutchman, this will help kids get into motorsport even without karting which is expensive.
He told Formula 1 Magazine, “We are currently working on that. The next step is our own GT3 team. Next year is pretty tight, but I want it as soon as possible. A GT3 team in 2025, should fit. With at least two cars.”
Although the works are in progress with only the Sim Racing in hand, Verstappen is fueled with passion for his project. He went on to talk about his plans for GT3. The Dutchman also revealed that Verstappen.com Racing sponsors and supports various racing activities. The Sim Racing had first started for the Red Bull driver with Team Redline Sim Racing. As Max Verstappen continues to race in Formula 1, it seems his plans for the future have already been into action.
