SUMMARY
- Williams likely to unveil a new logo ahead of the 2024 F1 season
- Majority of the motorsport fans welcome Williams' latest branding strategy
Just like Mercedes and Red Bull and their insane marketing to draw in as many people as possible, Williams has now moved their focus to branding themselves better with the new year. Until now Williams has been a rather midfield team fighting against Alpine and Aston Martin.
Although Aston managed to up their game last season, this year Williams is looking forward to pulling out their A game, starting with their logo. It seems after taking a few marketing lessons from Alex Albon and his genius Lewis Hamilton marketing strategy, the team has teased a new logo for 2024.
Until now, fans were used to seeing a broken ‘W’ and a simple font as a Williams logo. However, this year the team plans on having a different font with an unbroken ‘W’ as a way to brand themselves. But with a newer look for their 2024 season, it was not just the team that seemed excited about the new logo.
Fans hype up the ‘futuristic’ branding of Williams
Williams has always been far away from being in the spotlight or getting into too much trouble, except for their rookie driver Logan Sargeant. However, the team seemed to have made up their mind to have a crash-free season in 2024 and started with the logo of their team.
Fans have been used to seeing a simple and not-so-unique team logo. But what if Williams was a futuristic team with a dream to win again? It seems that was exactly the idea they had when it came to rebranding themselves. Although the result must have been satisfying for them, the fans were not disappointed either.
After the huge reveal, one fan commented on the new logo saying, “Looks a bit retro futuristic, pretty cool. Almost anything is better than their current very bland brand image.”

Another user said, “They seem to be trying to create a completely new image. More stylish, and futuristic. Very independent letter leadership. Not necessary at all, I hate it when well-known brands have to change their font image to simply appear more modern.”
However, not all were happy with the change and made it a point to call the team out for the “bland” approach to their image. One user said, “Sometimes change is good……sorry not this time. Looks clunky and in need of a session in the wind tunnel.”

It seems that regardless of the fans’ varying opinions, Williams will be launching their rebrand with a new look to their logo and a newer look to their image.
Williams continues their partnership with this company
Apart from a good P7 position on the Constructors Championship, Williams saw a horrible season with Logan Sargeant pulling a Mick Schumacher in a Haas. While they had all the right resources to produce a better car and bring a better result, it was all washed down the drain.
Nonetheless, the team does not plan on giving up until they make it to the front and also a partnership they have held onto. After having a good relationship for a few seasons, Williams has now confirmed joining hands with Mercedes Benz not only in the new season but also moving into the new era of Formula 1 in 2026.

The 2026 season will be the year that FIA implements new regulations in the sport, pushing all the teams to start with a new leaf instead of having an upper hand over one another. Luckily for Williams, Mercedes Benz will be sticking with them to face the new regulations.
