Lewis Hamilton has gained millions of fans. With being one of the most followed drivers in Formula 1, the driver has 34 million fans supporting him. Nonetheless, this means sometimes fans can have some crazy ideas up their sleeves to be remembered by the champion.
A Japanese fan had one of the best and most hilarious ideas of all. The seven-time champion has fans for his brilliance and the success that he has achieved.
Hamilton when talking to GQ Sports mentioned receiving the most unique gift of all from a fan in Japan. The seven-time champion was left completely lost for words. He received a box of boxer briefs.
However, when he tried to put them on, the driver could not get them past his knees. He said, “They were, like, kids’ boxer shorts. It was so funny! I guess they just wanted me to wear them, I don’t know?”
Lewis Hamilton told GQSports that a fan once gave him a pack of boxers shorts in Japan, and when he went to try it on it wouldn’t go past his knees 😭😭😭💀💀💀💀

The Mercedes star was left completely flabbergasted but soon laughed it off. What was even funnier about the situation was that this happened to the driver in 2007.
However, it has stuck with the Brit even now. He still mentions the situation and laughs it off. Meanwhile, it seems the fan’s plan was a success as they stayed in the driver’s mind rent-free.
Lewis Hamilton reveals his advice for 9-year-old self
Lewis Hamilton has come a long way. From just a kid racing in go-karts after school and driving in his motor home, he has not reached a milestone not many have. Rather he would be the only one in Formula 1 to do so. The driver is the only driver to have won 103 races with 104 pole positions alongside his seven titles. He also has the most podium wins with his latest being his 196th.
Sir Lewis Hamilton could become the first driver this season to win 200 podiums with only four more to go. However, he has also reflected back on his past and his journey. And he had a little advice for himself.
With having achieved everything, and seen it all, he had a few wise words. The driver worked hard every day and every season and gave his all but it seems he got too lost in it. When talking to Fox Sports, he said,
Today was a reminder of my dad’s advice he said to me as a kid of never giving up. Thank you to the team for working so hard throughout the weekend as you always do. “I think if I could go back and talk to my younger self, [I would say to] not take things too seriously, or take yourself too seriously.”
“I think I got so caught up in the intensity of wanting to be perfect and racing, racing, racing, racing, I completely secluded myself from the fun things in life that are along the journey at the same time.”
“So I would say, ‘Have fun with it’.”
