However, Nicolas Hamilton gave what could be called a “dead giveaway” on what to expect next season. He made an Instagram post of a screenshot of receiving a call from Toto Wolff. Nonetheless, it was the caption that had fans excited. He captioned the post saying,
“Hmmm, Toto & @mercedesamgf1 want me to be teammate to big bro @lewishamilton for 2024 …. Should I pick it up?”
This made fans question his role in Mercedes for 2024. However, Hamilton made it clear only a few days earlier that he only has plans on racing for at least a few more years. Nicolas could possibly be spotted in the Mercedes garage in 2024 too. With the comment section under the post, fans clearly seemed prepared to see a Hamilton duo in the 2024 season.
Will Lewis Hamilton drive alongside his brother at Mercedes in 2024?
Lewis Hamilton has been in his contract extension talks for a while. Ever since it was revealed that his contract would be ending by the end of this season, people have been speculating about the Brit’s next move. A lot of people want to see Hamilton join hands with different teams to win his 8th title. In contrast, some people have joked about wanting to see the star in Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen.
Not too long ago, there were rumors of Lewis Hamilton being in talks with Ferrari. Although the team confirmed these speculations, the Brit denied going to the red team. During his time with Mercedes, Hamilton also achieved great success. On the contrary, he has also proved his loyalty to the team for a long time.
After Nicolas Hamilton’s Instagram post, it is only clear that the discussions taking place in the Mercedes garage are only taking a turn for the better. Recently, the Mercedes star was confirmed to have signed a contract with Mercedes. Although his new contract will not include any ambassadorial role post-retirement according to his team boss.
With only a few more weeks left to the Dutch Grand Prix, fans are excited to see their favorite star in the black Mercedes suit yet again. With the recent performance, Toto Wolff has also stayed adamant about having Lewis Hamilton on the Silver Arrows team.
