With the Las Vegas Grand Prix being a street circuit, the organizers have had to close the Las Vegas Strip to allow construction to happen in preparation for the Grand Prix. However, the local community has voiced the difficulties caused by the said construction.

“I don’t have time,” A working citizen told the Clark County Commission this week. “I have to be two hours early to work and be two hours late to get out. Even though we wanted this Formula One race, it’s difficult taking care of four kids and our life for work. All the people working (on) Las Vegas Boulevard coming into work, it is very difficult for us.”

While things already seem difficult, it is bound to get even more difficult during the race week. The Las Vegas Grand Prix is expecting a footfall of 170,000. Considering that it is a street circuit, we can expect a number of roads to be blocked until the end of the weekend.

As a response, the organizers along with the hotels surrounding the area are planning alternative routes for transport. This solution may include shuttle service and monorails. Despite the difficulties faced by the local citizens, we can expect the Grand Prix to take place.

When is the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix taking place?

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on 19th November. It has already been announced that it will be a street circuit with long straights and possibly a lot of overtaking opportunities. It will be the final street circuit of the season taking place in the night. The race is scheduled to start at 10 PM PST which is 1 AM ET on 20th November.

The race will have a lot of expectations based on the hype around it. While Max Verstappen and Red Bull are the favorites to win all the races this season, a surprise winner would make the Grand Prix more memorable.

Do you know why I can’t wait for the Las Vegas Grand Prix?

because it is undoubtedly the last circuit of the season where Ferrari can win a GP 😎 🤑 🇺🇸#F1 #Charles16 #VegasGP pic.twitter.com/PWLxVPyC5W

There is only 1 American team in Formula 1. However, the Haas F1 team is not in a position where they can win races yet. There is also 1 American driver, Logan Sargeant who is also not in a position to win the race. While Williams is expected to be strong in Las Vegas, Sargeant has not been performing well for the team just yet. Let’s see if he can improve his performance before the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Who do you think will win the Las Vegas Grand Prix? Post your answers in the comment section below.
