Max Verstappen has time and time again proven that he is the rightful placeholder in Formula 1 but as time passed, Verstappen’s wanting to retire from the sport became frequent yet he has placed forward yet another one of his wishes that he wants to fulfill before he is finally done with wanting to race again.
The three-time champion first made noise in the sport after beating Lewis Hamilton in 2021 although it was a very controversial one that got him involved with FIA. Nonetheless, he has continued to hold his dominance in F1 and has since then proved exactly why he is the king of the tracks. After seeking one of the most successful seasons in Formula One the driver has now shifted to a different racing series that he wishes to drive in.
Max Verstappen hopes to drive in Le Mans with this champion
Max Verstappen is dominating the Formula 1 sport and has gained a huge following with a loyal fan base. However, it seems that after having talked about his retirement for a long time, the driver has now moved to wanting to drive in a different racing championship.
There have been many times when Max Verstappen has talked about wanting to retire from Formula 1 multiple times and has also confessed wanting to start his team not just in Sim Racing but also in F1. He is often seen racing and has also expressed wanting to Sim Race but there is another event that the driver has wished to participate in.
While Max Verstappen knows how difficult it is to survive in Formula 1, it is only fair to assume that it is twice as hard, if not more, when it comes to the Endurance World Championships. However, there is one champion on the grid who has not only faced the challenges that come with 24 Hours of Le Mans but also won that championship twice.

“I’ve been speaking to Fernando about it [racing Le Mans as teammates], he said he’d only like to do it [again] with me.”
“But I’m quite a heavy driver, so I need to find a lighter teammate. I need to have a look.”

Verstappen recently confessed wanting to be a part of 24 Hours of Le Mans alongside, none other than, Fernando Alonso who has won twice. He said “I’ve been speaking to Fernando about it [racing Le Mans as teammates], and he said he’d only like to do it [again] with me. But I’m quite a heavy driver, so I need to find a lighter teammate. I need to have a look.”
Nothing has been set in stone, yet he does wish to do something more outside of Formula 1.
Max Verstappen becomes a reporter for Fernando Alonso
Max Verstappen has had many idols throughout his Formula 1 career who have been an inspiration to him and have made him want to achieve bigger things in life. However, Fernando Alonso stood at a higher position than any other which led to Verstappen going as far as asking Fernando to be his teammate in Le Mans.

However, there was a brief period when the Dutchman showed his respect and love for Alonso by the season’s end when the driver turned into a reporter just so he could question Fernando Alonso about his sessions and how it was for him. The two-time champion went along with it and talked about how he had to put up a fight with Yuki Tsunoda, Lewis Hamilton, and many more to get a better result.
