Max Verstappen has been busy celebrating an incredible season and enjoying his time off, meanwhile, his teammate, Sergio Perez has taken time to apologize to the stewards after his aggressive radio message during the Abu Dhabi GP. There is no doubt that F1 has a lot of tension that can get to the drivers however Perez could not contain his anger during the race.
It all started during the Abu Dhabi GP when Sergio Perez was attempting to get past Lando Norris, however, he wasn’t successful in doing so and the two ended up colliding into each other which resulted in Sergio Perez being the one getting a penalty instead of Lando.
While the last race of the season started pretty well for Sergio Perez who tried to gain as many positions as possible to bring Red Bull the very last double podium, however, he did not succeed in doing so while his teammate, Max Verstappen took the race win for his team and Red Bull celebrate the very last race win and a dominant season.
Meanwhile, Perez was hanging by threads as he collided with Norris and soon could not control his anger after receiving the penalty. The driver became instantly aggressive on the radio. Nonetheless, he finished his 2023 season with an apology on his Instagram saying,
🚨 Checo releases a statement on Instagram regarding the steward incident in Abu Dhabi:
“This sport brings out the best in all of us and also the passion. Tonight I spoke with that passion & adrenaline after losing a podium.
It’s hard always having a radio live, not most sports… pic.twitter.com/feB0sNZQYh

“This sport brings out the best in all of us and also the passion. I spoke with passion and adrenaline after losing a podium. It’s hard always having a late life, not sports after that. But I owed more respect, we all have a job to do and I respect the job they have to do in high-pressure situations. Onto 2024.”
While his apology took a while to come he understood that he was pretty aggressive and agreeably so as many drivers have been witnessed getting pretty frustrated in the heat of the moment, however, come with an apology once they understand the issues and the decisions that went behind that particular situation.
Sergio Perez proves Lewis Hamilton fans wrong
Sergio Perez started his season hoping to have one of the best years after winning two races against the Verstappen. However, he started falling back from his teammates although he got the crucial points for the team.
The Mexican, having the same car as the three-time world champion, failed to bring better results for the team over and over again from his crash during qualification in Monaco and having overall poor qualifications to a very early exit at the Mexican GP and a weird end to the Japanese GP which saw him retired from the race twice.
However, this did not stop the Mexican from beating Lewis Hamilton in the driver’s championship standings after many hoped to see him lose the sport to the seven-time world champion with only a difference of 19 points. However, as the Austin Grand Prix approached and Lewis Hamilton’s podium win turned into a disqualification, Sergio Perez widened the gap of points between them.
Happy to wrap up the era of the RB19, a historic car for the whole team.
Finished with lots of laps and plenty of information to prepare for next year.
Time to rest a bit and enjoy time with my family.
Thanks everyone for a great year!Contento de terminar la era del RB19,… pic.twitter.com/QZxmyt8tRs

Although the Mercedes star tried to catch up, he failed miserably as the quality of the car only decreased more or more. Nonetheless, he secured his P3 position while Sergio Perez took home a P2 and fulfilled Red Bull’s long-time dream of having a 1–2 position in the championship.
Redbull’s dominance has been one of the key topics of conversation while Lewis Hamilton has been hoping to win his 8th Championship title, however, it seems impossible to beat Red Bull after they gave F1 the most dominant season in history and might keep the title at least until 2026.
